Depth of Field
- What are the three ways to manipulate Depth of Field? The three ways to manipulate Depth of Field are by changing the focal length, changing the distance of the objects, or by changing the iris.
- Click on Iris & DOF. Click on all of the F-stops and compare the pictures and the illustration of the depth of field, explain in your own words how the images change. As the photos go from a smaller depth of a field to a larger depth of field, the images in the front and back become more clear.
- If you use a camera lens with a shorter focal length will it create more or less Depth of Field? It will create more Depth of Field.
- If you move the camera closer to the subject, will that increase or decrease the Depth of Field? If you move the camera closer, the Depth of Field will decrease.
- What are the three settings to create expansive or great Depth of Field? Three settings used to create expansive or great Depth of Field are great camera-to-object distance, a short focal length, and/or a small iris opening (high f-stop number).
- What are the three settings to create shallow Depth of Field? Three settings used to create shallow Depth of Field are short camera-to-object distance, a long focal length, and/or a large iris opening (low f-stop number)
