Framing:
This is a picture of my sister (on the left) and her friend. They are both sticking out their tongues with their head slightly bent. They are holding a life ring that says "CRUZ AT". This picture makes me feel like friends are always there for you and will save you from anything. I used framing in this picture with the life ring. the inside of the life ring is framing the girls' faces. The circular shape draws the views attention to their faces. This photo fits with the song because the first verse is talking about sailing the world to find them and all boats have to have a life ring and friends are like a life ring. Simplicity:
This is a picture of my sister (on the left) and her best friend. They are leaning up against a wall with their arms down by their sides. They have their faces turned in the opposite direction of each other so they are not facing each other. This picture makes me feel like no matter what even if your best friend is not exactly right beside you where you can see them, they will always be beside you and be there for you which is how I interpreted the song to be. I used simplicity in this picture by placing the girls up against a plan background. This draws the viewers attention to the two girls and away from the grass and trees in the other pictures. Point of View:
This is a picture of my sister (on the right) and her best friend. The are leaning up against a light pole and trees are behind them. They are looking down towards the camera and are holding up two fingers. This picture makes me feel like a friend is like your second half. They have your back and are always by your side. This picture fits with the song because they are holding up two fingers or a peace sign which goes with the lyrics. I used point of view in this picture by taking the picture of the girls looking upward towards them. It makes them seem like are are bigger than they actually are. Shadow:
This is a picture of my sister and her best friend's hands. They are making a heart shape figure with their hands. This picture help shows the idea that best friends love each other. No matter what things they go through they will always be there and love each other tell the end. I used the compositional the technique of shadow in this picture. I used the light from the light pool to cast a shadow of the girl's heart onto the ground. Expansive Depth of Field:
This is a picture of my sister who has her best friend on her back. They both have their hands stretched out to the sides of them and are both making a funny/weird face. This photo helps show the idea that you can be yourself and be funny with your best friend. The picture looks almost as if they are singing and dancing in a circle. I used the camera technique of expansive depth of field in this picture. The girls are in focus and so is the background of trees and the house. |
Rule of Thirds:
This is a picture of my sister (on the right) and her best friend. My sister's friend has her arms around my sister. my sister is looking at her friend who is making a funny face. This picture makes me feel like you can be yourself with your best friend. No matter how weird you are your best friend will always be there right beside you and will love you for who you are. I used rule of thirds in this picture by placing the girls in the bottom left corner. By doing that, the viewers eyes are drawn to the bottom of the picture away from the trees and fence in the background. Stop Action:
This is a picture of my sister (on the left) and her best friend. They are standing on a ledge in front of a closed window. They are in a walking posture. The have their hands and legs in a moving motion and their heads are turned towards the camera. This photo makes me feel like friends will always be their and a best friend will never let you go. They will be their right behind you as your life continues and they will never leave you in times of need. I used stop action in this picture people there are multiple pictures taken of them walking and this is one of them. The picture is in focus and not blurry. It shows them in the middle of walking across the window ledge. Blur:
This is a picture of my sister (on the right) and her best friend. They are holding hand and spinning around a light pool. This photo shows how much fun you can have when you are with your best friend. There is never a dull moment when you are with them. I used the camera technique of blur in this picture. My sister and her friend are blurry because they are going around the light pool fast but the background is completely in focus. By using blur, you can see the girl's in movement. It shows there action and makes the photo seem more realistic. It helps visualize the idea of them going around the light pool. Shallow Depth of Field:
This is a picture of my sister (on the right) and her best friend. Her best friend has her arms stretched out and is falling back into my sisters arms. This photo makes me feel and shows the idea that a friend always has your bake and will catch you if you fall. You just have to trust your best friend and they will be there for you. I used the camera technique of shallow depth of field in this picture. My sister's best friend is in focus but everything behind her is not. It helps the viewer to focus on the fact that she is trusting her friend to catch her. Butterfly Lighting:
This is a picture of my sisters best friend and my sister. My sister has a map booklet on the top of her head and her friend is staring straight at the camera. This photo relates to the song because the lyrics say that "if you ever find yourself lost in the dark and you can't see,". A shadow is cased onto my sister's face as if she is in the dark and can't "see". I used the lighting technique of butterfly lighting on my sister's friend's face. It creates an even amount of light on her face that is hard to see in. Almost like she is being blinded and can't see. |
